On Saturday, October 5th, 2024, the Center for Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation (CCCAM) – University of Embu held a successful workshop under the theme: “Climate Awareness Through Digital Platforms and Policy Advocacy in Informal Settlements of Embu Town.”

The project focused on empowering young people with knowledge and opportunities to build resilience against the impacts of climate change, particularly in the urban informal settlements. The workshop brought together youth from Shauri Moyo, Dallas, and Grogon slums, fostering dialogue on climate awareness and advocacy.
